Nominating Committee
Chair: Betty Raitt
Email: nominating@ptcaweb.org
The Nominating Committee is charged with nominating persons for all positions to be filled by election by the Presbytery (except the Nominating Committee and professional staff). This includes permanent committees of presbytery, At-Large members of Presbytery Council, Board of Trustees, Permanent Judicial Commission, Treasurer, Stated Clerk, and also Synod and GA Commissioners and YAADs, presbytery members serving on related bodies, such as the boards of directors of the Minnesota Council of Churches or Presbyterian Clearwater Forest. They shall recommend persons to the Synod and GA Nominating Committees when requested.
It is our desire to have all churches within the presbytery represented by one or more persons serving on committees. However, we need your help. A Skill Bank Form is available on the PTCA web site. We would encourage every minister member of presbytery, elder commissioners to presbytery, and any other lay members of congregations who would be interested in serving the larger church to please fill one out and send it to us. We will keep these on file for at least a few years and refer to them regularly as openings occur. The Annual Meeting of presbytery is in May, so new names are especially wanted in February to April, just when you may be looking for new challenges after serving a term as deacon or elder locally.
